SPORTING CLAYS
About Sporting Clays
While there are many different shotgun sports, sporting clays is the closest it comes to the real deal. This challenging target game is made to replicate the experience of live shooting in the field. Shooters are given a variety of options for targets and simulate the flight path of common birds that include crossing, flushing, and even angling shots.
Sporting Clays in Western Oregon
Courses can be designed to replicate the hunting of pheasants, ducks, other birds, and even rabbits. No two sporting clay courses are alike. Similar to golf, courses all offer a different experience than the next. Natural elements play a role in the course play and feel. Our sporting clays course here at Creswell Clay Target Sports is built into the beautiful Willamette Valley landscape.
The different stations are designed to reflect different types of shots and the unpredictability a hunter may experience on a live hunt. This includes variations in speed, size, direction, angles, and trajectories.
Sporting Clays can be played by groups of varying sizes. Our instructors will explain the rules and the nature of the game so that you are familiar with the process. Safety is of our utmost concern. We ask that all shooters are respectful of the rules in place.
SHOOTER OF ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME
